About Really Good Food

This is a blog devoted to home cooking that goes above and beyond. If you’re interested in making food like what you get in restaurants, and sometimes better, then this is a great place to learn. My specialties include Chinese and Sichuan cooking, Indian food, Mexican food, grilling and smoking great meats, and whatever I decided I wanted to do at home.

Why another food blog? In part, I became motivated to create this because I have friends who ask me for recipes, perhaps the best compliment you can get, and I wanted to make it easier for them to access them. But there’s another reason.

I search for food blogs every day. I’m always looking for new recipes, or ways to improve old ones. When I see the search results, and click on one that looks interesting, I find myself on a long page full of useless text, pictures of the same thing from 5 different angles, and of course, lots of ads and pop-up videos. Where’s the recipe? I want to see if I have the ingredients! If you find that as annoying as I do, then welcome. I’ll tell you about the food, maybe give you some background or history on it, but it’s a quick trip to the recipe itself.

If I use affiliate links or place ads on the page at some later date, they will be unobtrusive and won’t disrupt the experience of finding Really Good Food that you can make at home.

I promise that I won’t let you down. Thank you for coming to join me on the journey.
